GI Joe and John Carpenter’s The Thing

So as a child of the 80′s, I’m very familiar with GI Joe cartoons, comics, and action figures. So when I came across a video of GI Joe action figures doing a stop-motion re-enactment of John Carpenter’s The Thing…well I just had to share it with everybody.

An isolated base in the arctic…how could this POSSIBLY lead into a horror movie?

I do have to say I’m impressed with the animation.  My GI Joes never did anything like this.  Probably why they lived longer.

The corpse sitting up in the background is never a good thing.  Never.

Refrigerator Perry has it coming.  I feel bad for the other guy.

That is nature’s way of telling you you’re going to die and it’s going to hurt.

I have yet to encounter a situation that couldn’t be solved by the application of strategic explosives.
