There’s something to be said for being original when it comes to advertising, but just as important to being original is being creative. Coming up with printing something that’s clever and creative that will stick in somebody’s mind long after they’ve actually seen your advertisement is nothing short of an art form, and thankfully, I’ve managed to track down some creative tear-off ads that I’m sure stuck with the people that saw them long after they had walked past them.
Even without seeing what the classes were for, I’d think it’s fair to say that most people would assume this was for some kind of ballet lesson.
Amputee Support Group
Sometimes being able to laugh at yourself is the best kind of medicine. Note: I am in no way implying that amputations are funny, hilarious, or a laughing matter…but this is still pretty funny.
At first glance I thought this was a zipper of some kind.
Children’s Hair Salon
If they’re this creative with their advertising, there’s a good chance they might be able to get your kid to sit still for that haircut they never actually want to get.
Say what you will about the procedure, this advertisement will certainly stick in your mind one way or another.
Nobody likes going to the dentist, but a dentist with a sense of humor and creativity could make that trip a little bit more bearable.
There are plenty of salons that cater to specific hairstyles or types, but I imagine if you’ve put the time and effort into growing out dreadlocks that you’d want a place that advertises that they handle them.
That’s one way to get across the point of what service you’re offering.
Much like the ballet advertisement, there will be no guessing at what this ad is for even from a distance.

Instead of advertising a service, this one is advertising what the poster is looking for.
Even though everybody is familiar with the name Weight Watchers, a little creative advertising never hurt.
